The Sodality of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church was organized on July 16, 1930, and was the first of its kind in Montgomery County.  In the spring of 1931 in Rome, the Sodality was enrolled under the name Immaculate Conception.  The aim of each Sodalist is to love and serve Jesus through Our Blessed Mother Mary—our holy and humble model. 

Membership is open to all parishioners, both women and men.  You are cordially invited to learn more about the Sodality by attending our fellowship at the General Body meeting on the first Sunday of each month (except January and the summer months of June through August) virtually at 1PM.  Please contact us for the online meeting information.

Some of the outstanding benefits of becoming a Sodalist are greater understanding and love of Mary through the Church’s teaching; greater opportunity for Marian prayer and to attend retreats with other Catholics seeking to grow in this devotion; and an avenue to collectively minister to our parish and the Archdiocese through several service efforts throughout the year.
 
The Sodality Way of Life focuses on the two pillars of Spiritual Life and Apostolic Life.  This Way of Life is a pathway to Jesus through Mary – built on Faith, Hope and Charity – “for the Greater Glory of God.” 
 
St. Michael the Archangel Sodality is a parish affiliate of the Archdiocese of Washington Sodality Union which comprises approximately 67 parish affiliate Sodalities.  The Latin word Sodalis means “companion,” a sodality being an organization of companions or friends.
