Archdiocesan Marriage Preparation Classes in Spanish The Office of Family Life is offering virtual Marriage Preparation classes in Spanish, from Monday, August 9 through Friday, August 20, two consecutive weeks on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 - 9:30 pm. Annulment Information Session in Spanish The Office of Family Life, in collaboration with the Archdiocesan Tribunal, is offering an annulment information session in Spanish on Saturday, September 11 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Marriage Enrichment Series in Spanish The archdiocesan Office of Family Life and Christ the King Church in Silver Spring, MD are hosting an in-person and virtual marriage enrichment series in Spanish for couples entitled "Strengthening Our Catholic Marriage in Troubled Times." It will be held 7:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday nights every two months beginning April 27 through November 30. The sessions will be led by a married couple, Dr. Marco Randle and Dr. Maria Lourdes Batistón, who are internationally-renowned Catholic psychologists. Workshop for Parents Whose Children are Away From the Church “Gather all my Children Scattered through the World” is a workshop organized by St. Catherine & St. Ignatius Parish in Port Tobacco, MD and co-sponsored by the archdiocesan Office of Family Life. It will be held on Saturday, September 18 from 8:00 am - 2:30 pm at St. Catherine of Alexandria's parish hall (7636 Port Tobacco Road). The workshop will include prayer, hope-filled witness talks, and group discussions. Archdiocesan Marriage Preparation Classes in English For three consecutive Saturdays, September 18 - October 2, archdiocesan Marriage Preparation classes in English will be held at St. Peter Church in Washington, DC (313 2nd Street, SE) from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. The decision as to whether the classes will be in person or virtual will be announced in September.
For four consecutive Thursdays, September 23 - October 14, archdiocesan Marriage Preparation classes in English will be held at St. John Neumann Church in Gaithersburg, MD (9000 Warfield Road). Retreat for Grieving Parents On Saturday, September 25, the archdiocesan Office of Family Life and Emmaus Ministry are hosting a retreat for parents who are grieving the loss of a child, no matter how old the child or how long ago the loss occurred. It will take place from 9:30 am – 7:30 pm at the parish center of St. Patrick Church in Rockville, MD (4101 Norbeck Road). Interested persons should register online here. Courage Apostolate Meetings in English and Spanish Courage is an apostolate of the Roman Catholic Church that assists those with same-sex attraction who seek to develop an interior life of chastity and move beyond the confines of the homosexual identity to a more complete identity in Christ.
